The Gorgon and Levithan have a major smackdown, but get away with Viper. Later the HYDRA ruling council discuss Leviathan's attacks and the Kraken unviels a plan. Away from the Secret Warriors, YoYo and Stonewall drive out to the Supermaxx prison to visit Stonewall's father, the Absorbing Man. Meanwhile Fury debriefs his squad leaders on the history between HYDRA and Leviathan. .

Review:
The cover is quite misleading, although we do learn more about both The Hive and Stonewall. The origin of The Hive is an interesting study in how inhumane and evil Von Strucker can be. The art here is very effective, especially Caselli's rendering of a delighted Von Strucker observing the birth of the Hive.The revelation at The Long Winter (you've got to love the names of these bases) is well sequenced after Fury's ominious decleration that every Leviathan agent on the planet disapered at once. Although nothing much happens in this issue, it develops the story with lots of background.
