Review
Its clear from this issue that the creative team's primary take on Nick Fury is to make him the ultimate badass and that they have. Although the issue doesn't really pack much story (as modern comic single issues seem to be these days) the cast is well set up, especially Daisy who is finally getting some material after the big introduction way back in Secret War. The scene in the White House rings true for Nick Fury, its absolutely what he would do and the scene is great to read. The art team is fantastic and really delivers on the action. The sequence where Fury breaks into the Chicago Datacore facility looks great. My one criticism is the final revelation which is nothing new or surprising for anyone who has read the Nick Fury Vs S.H.I.E.L.D miniseries. The idea that Hydra is behind S.H.I.E.L.D was hard to swallow the first time around and makes things very messy when you think about it, I can't really understand why anyone would want to go down that route again.
