Incredible Hulk #410- 411 "Liberation Day" (1993)
Writer: Peter David
Penciler: Gary Frank
Inkers: Cam Smith
Letterer: Joe Rosen
Nick Fury and
the Hulk clash as the Pantheon attempt to break out ex-CIA agent Susan
Jacobson out of Ft. Cheer maximum security facility. S.H.I.E.L.D. is reluctantly
called in to stop the breakout.
the issues boils down to a Mexican standoff between Hulk and Fury, allowing
for some solid dialogue between the pair. Peter David always seems
to have a good handle on Fury, even in small guest appearances like this
ending where Fury offers
to hand in his resignation is classic stuff. The art team is ok, but
a tad on the cartoony side for my taste.
