Sgt
Fury & His Howling Commandos Annual #3 "Vietnam"
Writer:
Gary Friedrich
Penciler: Dick Ayers
Inker: John Tartaglione
Letterer: Sam Rosen

Nick Fury reunites
the Howling Commandos for a mission to disarm North Vietnam's attempts
at building an H-Bomb.
- Continuity
Notes
- Only post WWII appearance of Bull McGiveney
- Appearances by Dum Dum, Gabe Jones, Jasper Sitwell, and the all surviving Howling
Commandos (this time including Eric Koenig)
- Its made clear in this story that all undertook the missions as civilians, therefore
this is not a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission
- Gabe suddenly has the urge to play his bugle in battle again (he never did that
as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent!)
Review
One
of the better Howler reunions with an action-packed story by Gary Friedrich
and solid art from Dick Ayers. Missing from later reunions, Bull McGiveney
also shows up for an extended cameo. Gathering the team together is loads
of fun and once the action starts, its great.
