Review
The fact that Fury's WWII title could reach this milestone but his S.H.I.E.L.D. title couldn't even make it past 15 original issues has always left me dumbfounded. An uneven tone is struck with the serious action of an assassination attempt to stop civil-rights legislation and the in-joke of Marvel Comics sponsoring the reunion. The plot suffers creditability when two low-brow gunmen can escape a room occupied by Captain America, the Fantastic Four and not to mention the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. himself.

If the story is sub-par, the art is only average at best. Ayers, with only the front cover leaving a good impression. Despite my complaints....I wouldn't give up my Dick Ayers autographed copy for the world!
